Friday - 9am; Fitness Photography
Friday - 1pm; Event And Wedding Lighting
Lauren is a Certified Professional Photographer based out of Farmingdale, Maine and served on the Board for the Maine Professional Photographers Association for several years. She is also a member of the Professional Photographers of America. She opened LAD Photography in 2004, and photographs boudoir, fitness, headshots, and families, but specializes in weddings, high school seniors and fine art.
Fitness Photography - Learn how to expand your business by offering a genre of photography that can bring you an entirely new client base! Fitness photography is new and upcoming, and your studio just may be the only one in a hundred miles to offer it, giving your studio an edge that others don't have.
This workshop will give you knowledge in posing, lighting, and photographing people for fitness sessions. Bringing out the muscle tone in these individuals is essential for success, which means lighting them properly is key. Not only will there be lighting instruction, but you will be able to watch as Lauren walks you through posing a fitness model as well.
Event and Wedding Lighting - This class is designed to teach the basics and not-so-basics of event lighting. You’ll learn from the top Maine wedding photographer how to read the lighting in the space you’re given, placement of lights, the use of modifiers for OCF, how to use gels for color correction and creativity, and how to create powerful images that set you apart. A hands-on portion of the class will show you exactly how to change the look of a room with some simple lighting set-ups. Discover how to have the power to create more impactful images, wowing your clients, and improving your bottom line.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Saturday 8a.m.; Landscape Photography
Saturday 1:30pm; Group Posing
Credentials: M.Photog. Cr. CPP, F-PPI, F-IPPA, F-ASP
Photographic Artist | Educator | Fellow of ASP
Dennis Hammon did not come to photography to collect titles. He came to understand light.
What began as fascination slowly became devotion — long hours before sunrise, standing in silence, waiting not for spectacle but for something honest. Over time, the camera became less of a tool and more of a teacher. The land taught patience. Weather taught humility. Failure taught sincerity.
Dennis holds the degrees of Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman and is a Fellow of the American Society of Photographers (F-ASP). Yet those distinctions represent something deeper than achievement. They mark decades of disciplined growth, study, competition, critique, and service to the profession he loves.
His work explores the full emotional range of landscape photography — from grand and sublime vistas to quiet, intimate abstracts that ask the viewer to slow down. He believes a photograph should not overwhelm the viewer but invite them. Not perform — but resonate.
As a speaker and educator, Dennis shares not formulas, but awareness. He teaches visual literacy, artistic integrity, energy containment, and the courage to develop a personal voice. He challenges artists to move beyond imitation and into meaning — to create images that endure because they are sincere.
Those who study with Dennis quickly realize something: He is not trying to impress you. He is trying to help you see.
For Dennis Hammon, photography is a lifelong apprenticeship to light — and an offering of gratitude for the privilege of witnessing it
