MEMBERS ONLY FALL RETREAT - October 3rd - 5th
MPPA Members Fellowship & Retreat
Join us for our annual members retreat! We will be gathering at a private lodge outside of Lincoln for fellowship, fun, and photography. The lodge is located at 1400 Conifer Lane on a beautiful piece of property just west of Lincoln with a creek flowing through it which empties into the nearby Blackfoot River. There is also a large herd of elk which frequents the property. The herd is commonly spotted near the lodge and you often hear bugling bulls very close by.
This is a casual gathering intended to allow people to get to know one another, explore the property, and of course create images of the beautiful fall colors in the Blackfoot River Valley. MPPA Past-president Mark LaRowe has run many fall workshops out of this lodge in the past and is very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and will be happy to lead groups or make recommendations for locations to photograph. There is also a fire pit next to the creek at which we can have campfires and roast hot dogs or make smores!
The price will be $75/night/person, food is not included. The retreat will begin on the afternoon of October 4th and end around noon on the 6th. You are welcome to stay for both nights, or a single night.
Bring a guest for an additional $100 per night . Feel free to bring your spouse, family member or friend! Accommodations in the lodge are on a first-come, first-served basis until the lodge rooms are booked. Overflow lodging will be at the Three Bears Motel in Lincoln about one mile away.
**You are responsible for your own meals and we do have access to a gas grill and the kitchen area and cooking utensils. But, we will need to clean up after ourselves if we use the kitchen area. Lincoln does have a few restaurants and cafe’s that offer breakfast, lunch and dinner options. There is also a well-stocked grocery store if you wish to purchase groceries in Lincoln.
This will be a fun and relaxing event offering the opportunity to interact with fellow photographers and exchange knowledge and experiences.
Please reserve your spot by September 15th so we can ensure overflow space is available at the Three Bears Motel once our private lodge is full. Our preference is to have MPPA members housed in the private lodge. Members with guests will be housed at the Three Bears Motel.
